Sit leisurely by a roadside cafe,

Be an observer of the rat race for a day.

A second of stillness, long overdue.

Pause and savour all of life's vibrant hue.

I look up at this deep azure sky,

As blue as my dear Charlie's eyes.

I gently smile and ask the Cloud,

"What is the time, what must I do now?"

The Cloud puffs and makes a sound:

"Why are you running around, running yourself into the ground?"

But Dear Mr. Cloud, to stop is to waste my life!

Like a barren tree waiting for the Spring that never arrives!

O my child, no one says you shouldn't try.

Can't you see even your sweat has run dry?

Stop!

Stop for a second and stay still for a moment.

Sense the gentle kiss I place on your cheek.

Soft like the bouncy green meadow, awoken by this morning's frosty dew.

Light as a pearl-white feather, made from the most delicate silk.

Ride on my breeze that takes you to the goal you seek......

See the glorious light on the edge of the horizon,

So far away and getting there is surely beyond reason?

But don't you understand...

Where you're standing is someone else's horizon,

Someone who is marvelling at your magnificence!

So be still and reflect on your achievement,

Even if it's just for one tiny moment?
